UNT Autism Speaks Town Hall

UNT Autism Speaks Town Hall

I am the Project Coordinator for a WONDERFUL event happening at my college, the University of North Texas.

Who: Autism Speaks and the University of North Texas

What: We are hosting a Town Hall Event to showcase three small businesses who actively employ individuals with Autism and/or who started their small business to employ an individual with Autism.

When: October 21st at 7pm.

Where: Kristin Farmer Autism Center in Denton, TX

Why: We hope to spread awareness to families of individuals with Autism, Service Providers, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, schools, and more about how individuals with Autism can really succeed in a small business setting and how THEY can start a small business or help their individual with Autism succeed in this type of employment setting. We also hope to show local small businesses how THEY can employ an individual with Autism and the amazing benefits they and their company will receive by employing an individual with Autism.

How: You need to RSVP to attend this event. To do so, please go to this link.

If you have any questions, please email: jessica.naert@unt.edu

Thank you!
