As a “Welcome home” present for coming home with Makiko after training in Oregon, her amazing puppy raiser, Jenni, sent us a Jollyball. Jenni had shown me a video of Makiko playing with it and offered to get us one. (Man I can’t tell you how lucky we are to have her!) Makiko did her adorable little hop while playing with it and did enjoy it. She played with it mostly inside (watch out everybody and keep the breakables away!). For some reason she played with it some outside but not as much as inside, but its okay because we had a huge open inside area for her to play with it. However, unfortunately, our time with the Jollyball has ended. We’re trying to find a way to resurrect it though. Makiko is very destructive with her toys for being such a sweet gal and continuously manages to take the rope OUT of the ball and then it takes me, Mom, and my boyfriend to get it back in. I have contacted Jollyball to see if they have a solution. Now that Jenni has introduced us to Jollyball I may get another one of their products that just doesn’t have a rope if this doesn’t work out. Mom was thinking I could get a smaller rope and we could try and make that more secure. We will likely do that. The problem with rope is Makiko loves to chew and when she chews on rope or anything that has stuffing inside, she is, once again, destructive and therefore she ends up swallowing some of the fibers or stuffing and chokes. We have eliminated the jollyball for that reason, the green tug of war toy that I bought for her before Colorado for that reason, and the tug of war toy that we came home with from GDB for that reason. Oh goodness.
However, I DID buy her some new toys recently and she is loving them. That’s a post for another time though, my friends. 🙂
